Rain rain go away! That is theme song on this wet Saturday. I hope and pray that your week has gone good. If not, then keep you heads up! God is there for you. Today's devotion is more like me writing to myself than me writing to each one of you. In the times that we live in, it seems that it is a normal custom to accept the situation around us and give into sin. It is a fight everyday to stay away from the draw of this world. It is so easy to say yes and do it one more time. But the Lord corrected me in this. Too often we give evil to much room in our lives. We say one thing and live out another behind closed doors. This is the biggest thing that turns away the unbeliever. We can hear a good word on Sunday and never touch that seed that is planted within. I am so bad at this. I do not take the intiative to harvest the seeds within my life. This is often because I put filth inside me that takes away my attention from God. But I know that I can rid myself of this evil. I can become a better witness for Christ. My prayer is that people see Jesus through me. Whether it is at work, at school, or in a public place, I want God to be known. In your life, strive to make Christ number one. Rid out the things that don't belong and be transformed into a powerful follower of Christ.
James 1:21
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
