Rebuild

School is out for summer! Or at least for me it is. It has been a great first year at Faulkner State. God revealed a lot to me and I know that next year is going to be packed with expectation of greatness. This message has been on my heart for a while now. One of my favorite accounts in the word of God is found in the book of Nehemiah. The whole book itself, covers the entire story. Nehemiah was a cup bearer to a king, but his heart belong with his people in Jerusalem. He became broken of the destruction of the walls of the city. With the walls gone, the city was left with no defense. Nehemiah took upon the project of rebuilding the walls. In 52 days, the wall was completed even though there was constant criticism through out the building process. This reminds me of our life as believers. There comes a time were we must rebuild what is broken. We cannot let our defenses remain down. The enemy loves a believer that will let his guard down and leave them self open to attack. We must stand firm on the word of God and have faith in this process of building up our spiritual life. Always be prepared to fight as well. What I love in this story is how with each builder was a tool and a weapon. So they worked but were also ready to fight. To those who read this and struggle to find faith, do not lose heart! Keep it up and you will be victorious.

Psalm 51:12
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me
