Hey everybody! Hope your week has gone good! Day after day, the Lord shows me that He is my strength. I am completely in debt to His greatness. Today, I started cleaning up my room. Yes, you read right, a male college student cleaned his room. I pulled up my old baseball trophies from my closet and began cleaning them. It was mind boggling how much I had played the game and all the awards I got through it. God reminded me of the verse in Philippians when Paul considered his gain a loss. Yes, I gained a trophy through playing and I got respect for the way I played, but all of that crumbles for the sacrifice of Christ. My life is gained through Christ. Not through the praise and honor of men. The gain of this world is rubbish to the greatness of knowing my Jesus. Nothing compares to it at all. In your life, let Christ go further than your life for the world. In the end, the gain is so much more!
Philippians 3:7-8
But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ
